Voodoo Girl Book & Figure Box Set

FINALLY I GOT IT! The last Tragic Toys item that was missing from my collection for ages is now finally mine!

So yesterday I came back hom from a mini vacation in Turku and on my way home went to pick up some packages from post office and there is finally was:

Voodoo Girl Book & Figure Box Set by Dark Horse in 2004. Set includes a Voodoo Girl figure and The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy hardcover book. I bought this via eBay from the USA. It was expensive but I had to have it. In total with selling price, shipping and customs I paid about 65€ for this one.

But now my Tragic Toys collection is complete!

Planet of the Apes paperback

And the third item that arrived from the UK was Planet of the Apes paperback by Pierre Boulle. Published in 2001 (this film tie-in book) by Penguin Books. Story in the book is the original but the cover art is from the Planet of the Apes (2001) movie. I got this one also for 5€ including shipping and the condition okay, with normal wear as the book is used.

Batman Returns - novelization

This one I also got via eBay from the same seller in the UK as the last one. Batman Returns paperback storybook by Craig Shaw Gardner. Published in 1992 by Mandarin Paperbacks Ltd. This also cost about 5€ including shipping and was listed as used item.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - The Whipple-Scrumptious Joke Book

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - The Whipple-Scrumptious Joke Book. Published by Puffin Books in 2005. This paperback contains lot of jokes around the themes and scenes of the story.
I got this from eBay for about 5€ and it came from the UK.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Storybook, a paperback published by Puffin Books in 2005. "An abridged vesrion of the original best-loved story". The storybook has photos of the movie and colourful illustrations. The one I got was in great condition and cost me about 6€.

Batman Returns - The Official Movie Book

Batman Returns - The Official Movie Book by Michael Singer. Also a paperback and published by Octopus Illustrated Publishing in 1992. The book has foreword by Tim Burton, illustrations, movie stills, behind the scenes material and some history of Batman.
Got this one also from eBay for about 5 euros.

New items again!
Got some great books from eBay last week but I was on a roadtrip to the Baltics so couldn't update them here earlier.

First one up is Batman - The Official Book of the Movie by John Marriot. This paperback is published by Bantam Books in 1989. This one is in great condition and I got it for about 5 euros.

TNBC Novel

Yay, mail day today! I finally received The Nightmare Before Christmas novel paperback. This one is published in 1994 by Puffin Books. It has the story and some still photos from the movie. I got this for 5€ from eBay.

Corpse Bride DVD Box Set

Corpse Bride DVD box set arrived today! The set includes the basic DVD, The Illustrated Story -book and a set of postcards. I got this set for about 5 euros.

Corpse Bride - The Illustrated Story is a good quality paperback published by Newmarket Press in 2005. Text by Mark Salisbury.

There are also 8 postcards which are slightly bigger than normal postcard size. I really love these because the photos are not the most used ones from the movie. For example there is postcard of Scraps hiding under Elder Gutknecht's books.

Mars Attacks! Novel

Today I received yet another purchase, this time it was Mars Attacks! paperback novel book. It cost me about 5 euros and I bought it from eBay. Published by the Penguin Books in 1996. There are also couple pages of still colour photos from the film.

The Nightmare Before Christrmas hardcover storybook includes the original story written and illustrated by Tim Burton himself. Published by Disney Press in 1993, the book I have is the 4th edition. I got this as a present in 2013.

James and the Giant Peach: Film Storybook

James and the Giant Peach: Film Storybook. Published by Puffin Books in 1996. Includes the story with movie stills. I paid 4€ for this and got it from eBay.

Sleepy Hollow novelization

Sleepy Hollow novelization paperback has the story of Sleepy Hollow with some pictures from the movie. Published in 1999 by Faber & Faber. I found this from eBay and paid about 4 euros for this.

Ed Wood Screenplay

Ed Wood screenplay paperback book, written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. Published by Faber & Faber in 1995. The book has the screenplay for the whole movie, some black & white photos and introduction by the writers. I got this via eBay for 5,50€ and it is in great condition. The book arrived today by mail.

Virgin Film Series: Tim Burton paperback. Written by Jim Smith & J Clive Matthews, published by Virgin Books in 2007. I found this from a bookstore in Tallinn, Estonia probably in 2011. Can't remember the price anymore.

Burton on Burton paperback in Finnish. Written by Mark Salisbury and published by Like in 2000. I bought this book from a local second hand bookstore for 5€.

I got this one back in 2013 from a local second hand bookstore for 5 euros. Burton on Burton Revised edition, published by Faber & Faber in 2006. The book is paperback, edited by Mark Salisbury and foreword by Johnny Depp. The book includes also some movie stills, illustrations and drawing by Tim Burton and behind the scenes photos, all in black and white.

The Art of Sleepy Hollow

The Art of Sleepy Hollow paperback book, published by Faber & Faber in 2000. The book includes sketches by Tim Burton, behind the scenes photos, movie stills, illustrations and the screenplay.
     I bought this in 2013 from another Finnish collector via huuto.net. I bought a bunch of stuff from the same person so I'm not sure how much I got this one for.

The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories paperback

This one I bought from England in 2007 while visiting there on vacation. I can't recall where I exactly found it from but it was some big record/book store probably in Nottingham. It says £7,99 printed on the back so that's most likely what I paid for it back then. This paperback version is published by Faber & Faber in 2005.

The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories hardcover

I think I may have found this years and years ago from a local secondhand bookshop for 5€ or something like that. This book is precisely the same as the paperback edition but with black buckram covers. This is published by Rob Weisbach Books in 1997.
