Something new again!

James and the Giant Peach PVC Figurine Collection: Grass Hopper & Centipede (JUN Planning Co.). Made in China in 1996. I bought this via eBay UK for about 40€ including shipping. The item has some damage on the cardboard packing, but it's unopened and in good condition.

There is also second set available of these. The other one includes James, Glowworm and Earthworm. That's next on my purchase list :D

James and the Giant Peach DVD. I bought this one from some shop in Andorra la Vella while visiting there in 2010. The cover is in Spanish, but there are subtitles for the movie in many languages including Finnish.

James and the Giant Peach - Sticker Storybook

It has been awhile since I last updated this page. I have just been really busy with everything else so haven't had time to purchase new items for the collection, but now I have something new to show you!

So first up some books: James and the Giant Peach  - Sticker Storybook by Puffin Books in 1996. I bought this via eBay from the UK and it cost me about 5€ including shipping. The book was listed as used and unfortunately the former owner has placed the stickers in the slots, luckily at least they are in right places and no other markings. I think this was the last James and the Giant Peach book that was missing from my collection, so now I have all the books of this movie!

Earlier this week I also got some smaller mail straight to my mailbox. James and the Giant Peach - Activity Book, a paperback published by Puffin Books in 1996. The cover is from the movie, but all illustrations inside are by Quentin Blake. The book has all kinds of tasks and activities. I got this for 5€ from eBay.

James and the Giant Peach - Centipede

Oh my gosh! I have been jumping and dancing around here the whole evening because today I went to post office to pick up THIS: James and the Giant Peach - Centipede collection doll by JUN Planning! It was made in 1996 when the movie came out and the prices have lately been around 40-100€ including shipping for these on eBay. I got this for 18 euros!! Yes, including the shipping costs. I bought via eBay from a seller located in Ireland and it arrived really quickly. It was acutally an auction on eBay and I stayed awake till 1am to make sure I would get this.
       The doll comes in a box, measured about 43cm tall and the doll himself is about 35cm tall including the antennas. Nicely detailed with clothes and hat made of fabric. His limbs are all poseable. Great item, so thrilled to have this in my collection!

James and the Giant Peach Storybook

This also arrived today - James and the Giant Peach storybook. It is paperback published by Puffin Books in 1996. The item description on eBay actually said hardcover, but there had been some mistake. I don't actually know if this is even available as hardcover, but paperback is just as fine by me. The story is by Roald Dahl and the illustrations in the book are by Quentin Blake, so only the covers are from the movie. This cost me about 8 euros.

James and the Giant Peach - The Book of The Film

Also something new came today! I found James and the Giant Peach books from eBay and had to get couple of them straight away. The first one arriving was James and the Giant Peach - The Book of the Film paperback. Published by Puffin Books in 1996. The book is used, some wear on the cover but that was expected since the it is over 20 years old! I paid about 5€ for this one.

James and the Giant Peach soundtrack

James and the Giant Peach is a great movie and actually one of my favourites from Burton's older productions. I can't recall where I have gotten this soundtrack but I have had it for some years. I actually just bought some books of the movie yesterday from eBay, so I will update here as soon as they arrive!
